Which component failed
A spark module, a convection motor and a control board are three different jobs. Naming a price before the fault is found is naming it at random.

Parts for current platforms are ordinary. Older units sometimes need a superseded number sourced, which moves both the price and the timeline.

How the unit is installed
A range that slides out onto a tiled floor and one wedged into a rear-ell cutout with an inch each side are not the same labour, whatever is wrong inside.

If a second component is visibly near the end, you hear about it while the appliance is open rather than on a second visit.

Each of these is checkable, which is the only kind of answer worth publishing.
What does the $95 service call cover?
The visit and the full diagnosis — readings taken at the appliance and a plain explanation of what has failed. Approve the repair and the $95 is credited against the total.
Will you quote the repair over the phone?
No. The call narrows it down, often to two or three candidates, and that is worth doing. The number comes after the readings and before anything is opened up.
Do you work on the hood as well as the range?
Yes — internal and remote blowers, motor capacitors, speed and touch controls, lighting, dampers and baffle hardware. What is outside the scope is altering the duct route or the exterior cap, which is building work rather than appliance work.
My kitchen is in a house under historic-district review.
Then anything that changes the exterior is a town matter before it is an appliance matter. Repairs inside the appliance are unaffected; a new wall or roof cap is not, and it is better to know that before a visit than after.
