Wolf Range Repair
Wolf dual-fuel and all-gas ranges end up in some difficult Concord kitchens — 18th-century ells and rear additions where gas runs and venting were fitted around the house rather than for it. We work on spark ignition and burner assemblies, gas valves, oven igniters and elements, thermostats and control boards on both halves of a dual-fuel unit.

On the phone
How people describe it
- Burner clicking but refusing to light after the cooktop has been cleaned
- One burner sitting at high flame no matter where the knob is set
- Dual-fuel oven running cool while the burners behave normally
- The red control knobs no longer lighting when a burner is on
On the visit
What gets measured
- Manifold pressure at the regulator, cold and under load
- Spark module output and flame-sense return, burner by burner
- Igniter draw in amps — the number that decides whether it still opens the valve
- Low-flame screw setting on each valve, checked at simmer
- Knob illumination circuit and the switch behind each knob

Parts and labour together
| Job | Typical total |
|---|---|
| Igniter or spark module replacement | $270 – $670 |
| Burner valve or orifice service | $240 – $1,050 |
| Oven thermostat or sensor calibration | $140 – $710 |
| Convection fan or motor | $320 – $880 |
| Control board or touch panel | $520 – $1,670 |
| Door hinge, glass or seal | $210 – $900 |
A band is what the job usually falls between, not a quote. What you are given before anything is opened is one number, and it does not move afterwards without a conversation.
A comparable new unit
$6,510 – $17,780
Appliance only. Put a repair band beside that figure before deciding — on this equipment the cabinetry and the gas work usually settle the argument long before the part price does.
Where those replacement figures come from
A comparable pro range, appliance only — before delivery, installation, gas or electrical work and any cabinetry. A rangetop plus separate wall ovens lands differently again.
What decides where inside a band a job lands
-
Which component failed
A spark module, a convection motor and a control board are three different jobs. Naming a price before the fault is found is naming it at random.
-
Whether the part is current
Parts for current platforms are ordinary. Older units sometimes need a superseded number sourced, which moves both the price and the timeline.
-
How the unit is installed
A range that slides out onto a tiled floor and one wedged into a rear-ell cutout with an inch each side are not the same labour, whatever is wrong inside.
-
What else is close to going
If a second component is visibly near the end, you hear about it while the appliance is open rather than on a second visit.

Dual fuel unit ran cool on the baking side while the burners behaved perfectly. He traced it to a drifting sensor and replaced it, then ran a test tray to prove the cavity held steady.

The red knobs stopped lighting up, which sounds trivial until you cannot tell what is on. A harness behind the panel had cooked through. He repaired that run rather than replacing everything.

We cook in quantity out here and it died the week before Thanksgiving, which felt like a disaster. The ignition module had failed. He came out, fitted a new one, tested every burner twice, and stayed until he was sure the whole top lit clean.

Wolf Range Repair across Concord
Same appliance, four different sets of constraints depending on which part of town it is in.
- Concord Center Historic-district review governs anything visible from the street, which includes a new wall cap. Rear-ell kitchens built against the original chimney mass leave very few honest routes for a duct.
- West Concord Small footprints and gut renovations mean a professional range often sits where a 30-inch freestanding unit used to. Clearances to adjacent cabinetry are frequently the tightest part of the job.
- Nine Acre Corner Larger post-war and newer houses on former farmland, with kitchens built for cooking in volume. Long duct runs to an exterior wall are common and are usually where lost airflow hides.
- Conantum Post-and-beam frames, low-slope roofs and glass walls. There is no attic to run a duct through and no soffit to hide one in, so hood work here is planned around the structure first.
